Rising local band from Melbourne. Introducing ASAMI. 

Born in Tokyo and raised in Melbourne, Asami Koike is a songwriter and the founder of the band called ASAMI. Her music replete with memories of life, love and everything in between, drawing inspiration from artists such as Sia, Ben Harper and Karen O to create timeless and playful pop tunes. Soon, she connected with the other band members consist of Ranald Raimundo and James Douglas and moved to Melbourne where everything colourful started. Being one of the few Asian-Australian artist in Melbourne scene today, ASAMI is a name that is hard to miss. GOOD NEWS!
They will be heading to Sydney on 17th and 18th of September for their show. You can check the event on facebook by clicking HERE. The entrance fee of the show is only $10 per and why not invites your friends and spread the words. It is surely a show that is hardly to be missed.

Random art pen sketches  by Qayyum Zakri, a talented art enthusiast who is currently studying finance in Nilai College in Malaysia. He spends his free time fulfilling his talent and expressing what he feels through artwork.

An animation by Hajar Aznam, a Masters of Animation graduate from University Technology of Sydney. This animation was made as part of her final animation project and ‘wayang kulit’ (traditional Malay shadowgraph) was chosen as the main subject to portray the unique element of design in traditional Malay visual art and craft.
